The purpose of Meditation
A gentle reminder
You really have all the answers within you. You need to quiet down long enough to hear them, and that to me is the basic purpose of meditation. It’s a connection with your highest-self. Every time you do this, you are also connecting with other people who are also doing this. Every time you do a visualization for healing your body or for healing the planet you are also connecting with like minded people who are also doing the same thing. The interconnection of these are purposeful and very powerful.
Several times during the day you might stop and ask yourself, what sort of people am I connecting with now? Catch yourself throughout the day and ask yourself what kind of mental place am I in now? Am I complaining or judging or grumbling about something? Or am I creating harmony and peace by appreciating and enjoying what I see and feel?
When you create inner harmony, you will be experiencing harmony in your outer world too. It is all about how you spend your time and thoughts. It will always be this way. When we start to make these simple connections, we start to realize that the relationship we have with our world is purely dependent on the relationship we have with oneself. The only way to cultivate harmony is with harmony, peace with peace, joy with joy and love with love. TLC
